…and welcome to any new members!! The swap meet was a success and a special thanks goes to all of you that participated and helped in many ways.
The ride on Sunday was about 95 miles in perfect weather. The full report will occur at a future meeting once everything has settled and we’ve caught up (on sleep).
The VME (Vintage Motorcycle Club) puts on the ride this Sunday the 30th, which starts in downtown on Vashon island, so take whatever ferry is closest to you and plan to be in town by 9:30 or 10 ish.
At the North end of town, find a place to park on the main road near the Thriftway (but not inside their parking lot) Walk around and have a look at the bikes.
The sign up area is mid-way in town on the West side of the road, which will be full of every kind of motorcycle you can name, and some that you might not be able to name!
The UM church at the South end of town on the EAST side of the road has a donation only bake sale and coffee, and use of their restrooms--nice ladies every year.
Pay your $20, throw your dart, and we’ll be on our way shortly after 10 AM. We will be heading North out of town to the first checkpoint. The last checkpoint is the Gun Club where you will need to show your entry card to get in, and the local high school team will be cooking lunch for a nominal fee. There will be a bike show you can participate in, vote for peoples choice, and there are free field events about 2 pm that are fun to participate in, or watch if you plan to stay. Even if you don’t go on the ride, it’s worth the trip to downtown. The ride itself is less than 50 or 60 miles.
Recommended that you have your ferry schedule with you and plan departure accordingly-allow about 20 minutes to get to your ferry from the Gun Club. Bikes get on and off first, so you can go to the front of the line of cars.
